how to style a puff sleeve for work

(Video) Look feminine, flashy and fabulous in the boardroom…

Big sleeve energy is oh-so trendy. A blouse with puff sleeves can really elevate your outfit … especially an all-black look.

First seen in the 1830s, puff sleeves have popped up again in various collections since 2018 … and fashion forecasters predict this trend isn’t going anywhere. (We’re so pleased.)

The Handwoven Cotton Poplin Shirt with Leg-of-Mutton Sleeves in The Piebald Boutique is very detailed … yet, as it’s made from cotton poplin, it’s light and so easy to wear. Along with the statement sleeves, the fabric is ruched at the bust and there’s a flattering A-line flare from under the bust to the waistline.

For work, we’d pair it with a simple black pencil skirt or fitted trousers (see below). Pointed-toe heels finish off the look and help to pull the eye downwards to balance the attention at the sleeves. You could also use a headband to balance the look too. The result is a chic look that’s effortless … the blouse does all the talking for you.

And, this blouse will last in your wardrobe … it was handwoven by artisans from Bengaluru (Bangalore) in India and imported by The Piebald Boutique especially for you!

We stock this blouse in XS, S, M & L … all sizing details explained in full here … or email us on boutique@thepiebald.com. Shop online or visit our store in Kyalami, Johannesburg. We also offer free shipping on orders over R400 in SA.
